Gold City RBA/IR UNL

Today was my third match in the stupidly crazy world of rimfire BR. I have been spending lots of time practicing, tuning and learning how to tell when the flags are telling you 'Don't shoot now', and still don't know what the heck is going on the majority of the time. We shoot 3 targets each of RBA and IR, starting with RBA. This morning for the RBA match, it was DEAD calm with narry a flag saying ANYTHING was going on. Doug shoots a 250, and no one else comes close to that. All three targets were shot in ZERO condtions, or so it appeared, and I just couldn't get a decent score. Then, in the IR match, it was windy as you would ever want to see it. Flags were doing 360's with the tails pointing STRAIGHT UP, as in, TOWARDS THE SKY!
I shot higher scores in this nonsense than in dead calm!
This is some seriously backwards crap going on!
Anyway, I would say I had fun, but only if you descibe fun as 'What the hell was that'?

Gary Mitchell always said wind was better than still in rimfire shooting. With no conditions there was no telling where the bullet would go.

You had a good time, that's what really matters!
