You're going to be hard pressed to find anyone who wants to sell it if you do expect to pay $500 or north of that there was a guy that listed 2- 8-pound jugs shipped for $1050 it sold in less than 15 minuets get some vv 130 or LT-30 best of luck on finding any

Shopping last week. Powder , primers and basically all reloading stuff has gotten ridiculous, what hasn't?
If IMR 4831 is over $500 for 8# when and if H-4198 is available does anyone really think it'll be cheaper?
I remember the $150 per case of 205 & 210M's and $200 8# ers but that is just like $.50 gallon gas. I don't expect those prices to ever be again. Do you?

I personally just ordered 8lbs of N130. $329 online..to my door for $385. Still less than $50/lbs. Chasing 4198 and paying premium just doesn't make sense. Hodgdon seems to be sitting on their butt about getting any 4198 on the boat along with the powders they do import so you will be finding something else in the future anyways.

No they didn't discontinue it. It's on hold for a while until the war bullshit is over. As long as you can get N130 there is no need whatsoever for H4198 even though 4198 is just a wee bit better powder than N130.
