Hello, I am new to the benchrest game,,have been hunting varmint and deer for a few years). I have a mentor at my local range who is helping me along- a good benchrest shooter at 100-200.
I am buying a 6.5-284 gun advertised in a Magazine that has been built as follows: Nesika Bay G action, 32 inch Pac-Nor Super Match fluted barrel 1:8 twist, McMillan MBR stock, Jewel HVR trigger. Gun was built in Minnesota by a gunsmith I never heard of and can't find on the Internet. Seller tells me the action is screwed in- no glue, in fact he took the gun apart to ship it to me- it should arrive later this week. The gun has only had two shots down the barrel to test it.
Question: I want to be competitive with this gun-- should it be glued in?
Thanks in advance
Bob
