Glock 20 trigger pull change

Does it pay to take apart and polish all parts ?> Watched a lot of good youtube on this. Also, Glock sells competition spring kits . I checked pull tonight 5.5lbs
I'm not a competition shooter but was wondering if change out trigger pull weight would improve it a lot. What trigger pull spring would one recommend ?
Im not looking at changing out trigger, just trigger work .
thanks all

A spring is an easy change. I never polished any parts but I'm sure it can't hurt. If I remember right, you're putting in a heavier spring to lighten the trigger pull. Mine must've been pretty heavy, because I'm thinking my G20 ended up around 4.5-5.5lbs after the spring change. Certainly shootable, but a 1911 she ain't.

What is it who wish to accomplish? If it's a smoother trigger a dab of grease will help. If it is a lighter trigger a 3.5# trigger kit will do it. If you want more trigger weight go to a NY Style #1 or #2. A dab of grease and staging the first trigger press and reset the trigger for follow-up shots will make an amazing difference if you are not doing that now.

They're mush no matter what. A spring swap can make them a bit nicer though. I'm a fan of the NY springs myself. They've got a different feel that you'll either like or not.
