Global Benchrest Association? - Harry Jones 1000yd Memorial Range

Anyone have any idea what the Global Benchrest Association is? Our local range (Harry Jones 1000yd Range) in Fairview, WV is apparently joining this organization and holding several matches this year. They said on their FB page you need to be a member of the GBA to shoot and they're following GBA rules and I can’t find any info on the GBA. I also don’t know if that means no IBS matches now or what? I’m just confused as no one has heard of this GBA and Google doesn’t seem to know anything either.

Why the switch from IBS or is this in conjunction with the IBS?

You can damn well bet it is NOT in conjuction with the IBS! Someone said 3 LR clubs leaving IBS for the GBA.

Surely there is someone directly connected with the range and the associations . I would think they would have the answers,much better than speculation and the drama the internet brings.

I think whitehorse posted on Facebook they are global benchrest also this yr. They posted match dates and 4 classes

Maybe it just needed cleaning out them lumps have to go.
Maybe a good Idea but the people running it ruined Va1000 we had 150 members and now it maybe 10 so I'm out IBS is the only way to go .

So what are the rules? Need to know upfront. Because if we don't like them we may have to start up a different association. Maybe... Universal Benchrest Association or Galaxy Bench rest Association.

Great, another set of "World Records". I wish these organizations would just "grow up" and recognize each others records, and standardize them. Whether a 5 or 10 shot, heavy or light, just standardize classifications. And give proper recognition to those who have set the records.

Maybe I will start my own. I will be the only member. I'll finally be able to get my name in a record book.
And every rule I want will pass with 100% of the membership voting in favor.
Best of all, there won't be any arguing among the members so no one gets to pout. If you don't like my idea then go start your own.
I'm calling mine BOCBR. Box of Chocolates Benchrest because you never know what you're gonna get.
Well, maybe I'll take one more member. I do need someone with a couple million to bankroll my new range and office space.

Jim I think I'm about Organisation-ed OUT. Were did this Global Club come from anyway.
Mike I understand were your coming from about Recognizing each others records but until you get to the Nationals or the World open were everyone is on the same playing field it should only be a club record!
