Glass bead blasting

I am getting a new cabinet soon, and want some advice on what size of glass beads to get. I prefer more of the lighter "silver" finish rather than the coarser "dark grey" finish. I realize that would probably mean a finer bead, but not sure what grit or size that would require. Also what pressure are you guys running? Thanks in advance...

For a subdued finish I use 120-150 AO at about 70 psi. Not glass beads so sorry if this is no help. I have found the "softer" finishes show wear marks from safes, handling, use, more than a rougher finish.

Look into about 120 grit aluminum oxide. The higher the pressure, the more aggressive it will be. 80-100# will probably be in the right neighborhood. I like it better than glass beads.

Certain jobs that I do, will call for various types of surface finishes or profiles. Whether it's sand blasting for protective coatings application to machine shop final finishes.. I hope the links will help and give you some idea of grit sizes.. Just to to add what Larryh128 mentioned, aluminum oxide will last longer with cleaning.
