Giraud Annealer - WOW

Finally, got the Giraud annealer that I bought from Ranger 0787 up and running tonight. Earlier today I de-capped and SS tumbled some LC .308 brass to get ready. I painted the inside of the mouths of the brass w/ 750 degree Templiq, loaded the machine, and off to the races.

Easy to adjust following the instructions with the unit. Kinda' fiddled with where to place the flame and seems to work best at the neck-shoulder junction. Fiddled with the timing and before to long it was working like a charm.

Let everything cool off and went through it one more time.

Now, I'm ready to do my .260 AI brass! Thanks, Doug...great product!

They're a great machine.

Don't load the case bin to capacity. The motor doesn't have enough torque to overcome the weight.

Mine doesn't have that problem with 308 brass. What cartridge are you having issues with loading a full hopper?

.308. What you show there is about the maximum I could load and not expect the motor to stall.

That's all been cleaned, sized, trimmed, primed, and loaded. It's boxed up and ready for Lodi.

Planning on it....BUT have one more flight to figure out. Wanted to head that way for mid-range tomorrow but have a flight on Friday.

I like mine. I only do 100 pieces at a time so I've never had a overload problem. I'll tell you what I did do once, and only once.... I had a 30 X 44 bench rifle. Threw some brass in the thing without adjusting the wheel and had one fall in crooked and jam. Ate the gears in the motor. I called Doug and explained that I had been a dumb butt and trashed the motor. I was fully prepared to buy a new one. I had a new one in hand in two days. No charge. You can't beat customer service like that!

I load mine to the top with 308... Never an issue.
