Getting out again

It's been a prettty good while since I've had the foxpro out. Got the itch to take my new Rock River PP out for a trip the other evening. About 12-13 minutes into my 1st & only stand, man it's too hot to call) I had a visitor. Checked up @ 92 steps & the 60gr vmax did the trick. My first confirm with an AR. Not sure I'll ever give up my bolt guns, but this thing's not half bad, never thought I'd say that). I'm getting groups in the .6's with less than 100 rounds down range.

Had to position the photo just right to keep the gore down. The only shot I had was in the knogg'n... Anyway here is the better pic:

Good job on the coyote. I it is too hot for me to hunt where I live. Will wait untill after I close my deer season to get back after them. I orderd a Stag Super Varmiter modle 6 about three months ago. Still waiting for it. I like my bolt guns also, but thought I would give the ar a try for coyotes. Don't know untill you do try one is the way I look at it.

That's really why I bought mine; for calling. It has been very few, but there have been a time or two I could have used the faster follow up,multiple responders  ). Plus, all my rifles are 24' or longer barrel. The 20' is a neat change. So far so good. I'm sure you'll like the stag.

The Stag has a faster twist barrel than what I am shooting now and a 1/2 MOA guarentee from the factory. I am hopeing to shoot a little heavyer bullets a little farthur out there than what I am shooting now.
