getting fired brass to build a die

I am thinking of buying a wildcat rifle based on an Ackley Improved rimmed case and a tight neck. I need to send several fired cases to JLC or CH4D to get a sizing die and sizing die. Can I use the old creme of wheat method to get the cases or will they be too rounded for the purpose. The rifle is based on a Krag case necked to 7mm and improved. Thanks for any help. Tom

I have used the COW method to fireform brass before but not for you purpose though I don't know why it wouldn't work though, you will have rounded shoulders,...BUT,..why couldn't you just knock the primer out and do it again and again until you have the desired look. Most custom die makers want three times fired brass, but even if it took 4 or 5 who cares, another thought after a couple times with the COW why couldn't you turn your neck to the desired thickness then find a die you can get a bullet seated with and fire a live round through it then the shoulder should be pretty square, just a thought anyway.
