German 308 ammo

http://cartridgecollectors.org/headstampcodes.htm

DM Deutsche Waffen-u. Munitionsfabriken A.-G.,, Früher Lorenz, Karlsruhe, Germany

Weichkern means 'soft core', as opposed to AP etc. I'm not a cartridge collector, but I presume some metallic components, casing, jacket and/or core) may be steel,/iron). But -41 is still so early year during WWII, that precious metals were not necessarily used sparingly.

Anyway, it would help a great deal if you:

- tell which info is from the headstamp, which from the box etc.
- provide pictures of headstamp, ammo and boxes
- in the absence of photos, try to describe what you have

If boxes are not opened, don't open them before checking if they have, more) value for collectors!

He said it was .308 ammo.
This can't be WW 11 issue. I think the last is the date
1960. More then likely NATO ammo from the cold war period.
I believe the Germans were using the FAL at the time.
I think your right on the rest though.

Thank you for your replies. The ammo is in a battle pack of 200.
The information I posted is on the box. The headstamp has 7.62x51 ms 128-60 no other markings.
