GemPro250 ERR 0 Display

I have been using a GemPro250 for sometime now without issue. I just received another one to take on the road. As I started to do a function check, after a long warm up, 1 day, I noticed the display reads
ERR 0. I have read the manual, but can find nothing with info for this readout. Any of you gentlemen know the answer??
thanks for help.

I get that if I place to much weight on it.
If you didn't have any weight on it, check to make sure nothing is stuck under the weighing table.

I just sent mine back to the company that warrantys these scales. which is MyWeigh out of AZ. The scale would drift back
by hundreths approx. every 15 secs. Bought it from OldWillKnotts scales. They told that was a common problem & to send it back to
Myweigh, which I did. I waited for about one mo & didn't hear anything, so I emailed MyWeigh & never heard anything, so I called
& of course you can't speak to anyone so I left a message. No response. I emailed again. no Response. I left another message. No response.
So I called OldWillKnotts where I bought it & they said they would contact MyWeigh, so then after another 3 wks of emailing back & forth, they sent me a replacement. This one, so far does not drift. I sure do not want to buy another scale that is warrantied by MyWeigh scales.

Had the same problem. Now this is going to sound kinda stupid and don't ask why I did it, but.....

I turned it upside down and shook it. It started working and has worked well ever since.

Go figure..................

This may be something that you have already tried, if so, sorry to have wasted your time. Do you have batteries in the unit. If so, remove them and disconnect the power cord to the unit. Wait a few seconds and power up on AC. This cleared an ERR code I couldn't get rid of on mine, hopefully it will work for you.

The GemPro 250 sounded good at first and for all of us who own one now realize they are not that worthy.

My first GemPro was a good unit until it would not hold any form of zero. It would drift continually. I received this new one on Friday. It has never had any batteries in it as it is only one day old to me. I reckon I'll send it back and try to find something else. Thanks for the replys.

I had two GemPro 250's and the best use I ever got of them was an experiment at 50 yards. I found that a .22-250 fifty-two grain hollow point was much more devastating on the electronics than a .260 Remington 140 grain.

Haven't read the whole thread or the manual (lately) but have you tried new batteries and/or the AC adapter?

Batteries last all of about 5 minutes in my unit...and that's with the power turned OFF.

I, too, bought a GemPro and it was way better than all three of my beam balances! It did need re-taring often and trickling was near impossible. But, it worked as one would expect a strain gauge balance to work.

Too many folks expect silk purse quality out of a sow's ear.
A strain gauge balance will be more accurate than a beam balance but will need re zero often, will nor adequately allow trickling and maybe will drift in accuracy. Consider what you paid for it compared to what a decent magnetic force restoration balance costs. I decided to gamble a bit and I found there are a few manufacturers of Magnetic force restoration balances in the 100 to 200 gram range that are a bit old and are affordable on ebay. If you find one on ebay, just make sure it works (not "didn't check it" or "didn't have a power unit") and the seller gives a money back guarantee if it doesn't perform to spec.

I bought an Ohaus TS200 which reads in grams as well as oz, teal, grains and a bunch of other units. It is accurate to 1 mG which is about 0.015 grain. When on the grain range, it increments in 0.02gr steps. So, I weigh on the gram range as it increments in 0.001 gram which is about 0.015gn. Most balances that read in many units do this truncation. Anyway, you can find TS120 or TS200 ( 120Gram and 200 gram) balances for $100 to $300. I so far have bought three balances, my first multi unit TS200 and two TS120 gram only balances, all for less than $100 each. I also bought one not working for parts just in case, $35. One went to my friend in Australia and the third one is a spare in my shop.
