Geissele S3G Trigger for Stag AR-15

Stag Arm's premier trigger is a Geissele S3G Trigger. I don't know anyone who has used it. I am wondering if it is worth getting them to put it in for me or just buy the gun and drop in a Jewel or Timney. Has anyone used a Geissele before?

Sir
have used them in several service rifles - no question in my mind they are exceptional. Smooth movements, breaks like a glass rod and outstanding service if you need any - they are a first rate company

Depends on what kind of trigger you want. The 3-gun trigger feels very different from most match triggers.

Instead of being either a single stage or a two-stage with a very crisp break (little-to-no movement for the single-stage, or movement followed by reaching a crisp second stage for the two-stage) the trigger is intended to have a reasonably large (compared to match triggers, anyway) travel, with a very consistent (and smooth) pull weight throughout--and no stop. You start the trigger moving and nothing changes and then it goes off. The idea is that if you're shooting fast, you're less likely to jerk the trigger that way. You just keep the trigger moving while you pay attention to the sights.

I think that style of trigger works very well when shooting fast at (relatively) big targets. I would not be happy at all with such a trigger for high power or long range prone shooting, however. Different tools for different jobs.

But, if that's the style of trigger you're looking for, or the style of shooting the gun would be for, then it's *very* good at what it is.

Like quite a few others here, I use a Geissele national match trigger (adjustable two-stage) in my service rifles, and I like them quite a bit.
