Gear for Palma comp.

I'm trying to find info on recomendations for building a Palma rifle. Presently I shoot NRA service rifle with an M14 and am enjoying it very much. A friend traded me some M14 parts and a Kreiger 27" 1-11" twist fluted barrel threaded for a M70 action. I am interested in eventually going to Palma as I get older as old and new injuries make getting into the various positions harder. I would like to find out about where to get M70 action, stock, sights and smith to build it. I appreciate any recomendations you fellas can give me. Thank you

Since you live in Washington St., may reconmend that you contact Bob Gamboa, or Jim Cloward, they will advise you in the right direction as to your palma rifle, both are great weat coast smiths whom know a great deal about palma guns. As to a barrel, I would reconmend a 12 twist.

What Froggy said. I would add to that, look for a complete rifle. You can always buy complete cheaper than building new.

The bbl that you have may not be the core of a good rifle. Just because you have it doesn't mean you have to use it.

Check out LR.com and just lurk. many good rifles come up for sale that will put you to shooting immediately. Plus, when buying used, you usually get a bunch of other items that go with the rilfe at a good price.
