easy. The barrel was tapped by the factory. The mounting holes are under the rear buckhorn iron sight. I tapped out the rear iron sight to reveal the 4 mounting holes. The pic rail is for this rifle and screwed right down with some blue loctite and 25-30 lbs torque.
 
Nice! I bought a nice Rossi in stainless with an octagonal barrel. Good guns! It doesn’t have the holes under the rear sight for a rail, sadly.
