No,...but I don't like the prices any better then anyone else! for any of you that didn't vote or God forbid voted for our present dictator,..itchyTF said:I know it's a bit early, but is anyone having second thoughts about PD (or whatever) trips this summer due to the wonderful gas prices and where they are projected to go?
Your right about that,....as a matter of a fact it is a understatement,..Dave T mentioned hyper inflation,..that's also a understatement!! you can't crank up the printing presses for the last three years, running 24/7 printing monopoly money based off absolutely nothing and not have super hyper inflation hit! You ever seen pictures of the 1930's here in the USA or worse in Europe?...how about the John Steinbeck's 1939 movie starring Henry Fonda "The grapes of wrath"??areaone said:I can't believe how much this country has changed in 20 years. If gas goes up $3.00 per gallon more than last year that will mean it will cost me $135 more than last year. (Fuel cost split 3 ways) That's not a deal breaker for me when you considerer what I spend on ammo. Thats 10 lunches at Mc Donalds, Five trips to the local steak house (a cheap joint), or one trip to the Mall for my wife.
It sucks, but it is what it is.
I'm going.

BTW, my "wheel estate" gets 7.5 MPG when I set the cruise on 60 MPH, 5.5 MPG when the cruise is set to 75 MPH. Guess what speed I drive? For those that fly by me, I'm not driving slow due to my driving abilities.![]()
We only drive 4 to 5 hours per day when we travel. Hey, we're retired.![]()
Boy is that a $#%@^&* way of looking at it, hope you dont have other trips for rest of the year...you must walk to work and grow your own garden for food!jerrschmitt said:I was just having this conversation with my wife.
