With the BC chase at full gallop, has anyone tried any of these? (140 bthp RDF Match)
I just found out abt them through a Midway email.
If they aren't ultra finicky, they might just be a "contender". I do have a 6.5 WSM I picked up abt 7 yrs ago I haven't done anything with to boot. Anyone have any info on this?

I've read the same about Berger.....
According to numbers done by Bryan Litz, Berger and Sierra were really close. We have tested Berger and Sierra both and the numbers seem to be right all the way to 2000 yards. According to people that shot the Noslers the drops were not right at long range, which says the BC numbers are not right. Matt

Thanks Matt, that is what I was looking for.
Any idea how far off? Even if off by .3 that is still a decent bump as long as they aren't extra fussy.

Some were pretty far off and some were close. It depended on bullet and caliber. I can't remember that bullet or the post I read it in. Maybe a search would show. I might have read it on longrangehunting. Good luck with it. I would worry more about the accuracy then the BC. Matt

Directly from Brian Litz' testing, the 6.5mm Noslers were very close to advertised, the 308 offerings were off by 15% on average.
I have used/use the 129gr ABLR in my 264WM and it is very close to advertised.
When I get my hands on some 140's, I will post my results with those.

One thing I'm sure you know, the BC of a bullet coming out of a 264WM is higher than the BC out of a 6.5x47. (Which I also use!)

Cheers.

I'll be running a 6.5 something out of a WSM.
Velocity can be your friend.....

I think tips are one of the least important things. I shot a lot of small groups at 1000 yards with tips that were way less then desirable. Some looked like they were sawed off with a chopsaw at 45°. Good luck with them and let us know how they do. Matt

Some of the PRS guys have been mumbling about the BC being under represented for the 6.5. That said, it seems that many of the PRS crowd (not being judgemental or derogatory) are running magneto speeds and "to read SniperHide" they get about 100fps more out of their 22" barrels than I get out of my 26-30" units.

My point, you need to trust your chrono or verifying BC with come ups means nothing. I'm curious about them. If the work as well as 142 athe $30 less a box, I'll run 'em.
