Wife and I will be there. Hope to see some F-class shooters.

Maybe next yr Scott. I was really hoping to make it again this yr. I wanted to make it. I love shooting Full Bore, but this yr has not been kind to me when it comes to finding time to shoot. (only shot in two matches all yr)

well you're gonna miss out on the best wind-reading practice in the country...but you already know that. :)

Good luck everyone. Give'm hell, Harris' As an aside, I'd offer up the 1000 yd range at Moffit, ND as a contender for wind-reading humbler. Drew

I've also heard that Rattlesnake Ridge and Bisley can be killers, but I've never shot there. I have however shot in 4 major competitions at Raton, and day in and day out it has been the hardest range I've shot on; the kind of hard where if you are shooting Full Bore and you have 45 seconds to make the call you may need 6 minutes more than you did on your last shot. Miss that call and you get dirt.

... and I will shoot the SOA every chance I get.

If you want some real practice come on down to Midland TX Sat and Sunday before SOA gets kicked off. Shoot 1000 yards across a cotton field. The only thing to block the wind down there is pump jacks and what few barbed wire fences that are left. I think most of them have blown away.

Wind, dust/sand, tumbleweed, gotta love Midland TX........:D
