Fullbore Match 24 Jun 2012 Firing Format Change @ Oak Ridge

Due to the format as has been related to me this morning from the NRA, the Fullbore match to be held at Oak Ridge, Tn will have a firing format change. Instead of firing at 800, 900 & 1000 yards. The format will be 300, 600 & 1000 yards instead. If your planning on shooting at the Nationals this year this will be a good opportunity to establish a 300 & 600 yard zero on your palma rifle!

Registration for the next will begin at 8:00AM.

Because of the firing format that will be conducted on the last day of the Nationals during the Long Range phase of the championships i n the America's Match. I was told by Dennis Willing and the Lady that is in charge of the competitions that all sling shooters will be firing at 300 yards and the match program arriving in the mail states that we will be firing at 600 yards. So I felt it would be best for those going to Perry for the championships to give them a opportunity to obtain good zeros at 300 & 600 yards.

Is this match F-class compatible?
Thanks.

I think we have some 300yd F class targets, and I know we have 600yd F class targets.

As to comparability, F Class shoots at these distances.

I just want to make sure before I drive 2 hours out there, but the Palma course of fire is consistent with f-class, and I would be allowed to shoot F-class along with the Palma shooters?
Thanks!

Rain, I'm a member, I've shot every one of the Full Bore shoots since last yr when Randy developing them and I've shot them shooting F-TR. You will be fine shooting F class.

I'm recovering from a badly broken leg right now and the wheelchair may keep me away from this match. My only concern is that I've never seen 300 yard F class centers in the target shed. (that doesn't mean they are not there) We may need to order them this week.

I've got an appointment with my orthopedic surgeon Friday, I'm hoping he tells me I can have enough mobility to shoot.

After some discussion between the Palma shooters this morning and a group decision on what they think is really going to happen at Camp Perry we ended up shooting 800/900/1000.

I learned something new today. I found out what "getting Creedmoored" means. :p If the initial reports are right I got "Creedm0ored" in F-TR.

Good match today. Thanks to everyone who put up with my hobbling about and helped me haul my stuff around.
