NBRSA 600 YARD MATCH
OJAI VALLEY GUN CLUB
March 17, 2019

Congratulations to Phil Peterson on his fine performance. Winning the match, placing first in all Light, Heavy and Two gun Aggregates, and shooting a sub 1" Light-gun group.

We had a beautiful spring day for our March match. Here are the adjusted full results. Next match is May 19.

Bill,
What were the wind conditions during the March 17 shoot vs. the average? Hoping to be shooting in some CA events in 2019.

I'm not Bill, but I have shot at Ojai for the last 10 years or so mornings are typically calm great conditions for the first relay then lookout by the time the second relay starts the wind also starts and ranges from a good breeze to the range flags blowing straight out and switching directions, some times different directions at different locations on the range at the same time.

If you draw second relay you will get some wind reading lessons, but don't let that scare you off come join us it's a great bunch of shooters and fun is had by all.

Bring a lunch as this is a remote location with no food or gas services.

Leroy is correct. The range was calm for the first relay. Cool, in the 50's when we started at aprox. 8:30am, we had a walkie-talkie problem, we try to start shooting at 8:00am. Our range is 3200 feet above sea level and can be very chilly when we start. Most matches a the wind picks up, but there have been a few matches where it was calm all match. It is a beautiful location for a range. You can get more information at: http://www.ojaibenchrest.org

Damn...the wind was really ripping. Good practice for Sacramento next month.
