Looking for input from others who have used the Fulghum front rest from Randolph Machine.
Please be brutally honest in our views of this rest.
Using a Shadetree rest now and just not real pleased in my results.
Won a gift certificate at the NC UBR match this weekend for the Fulghum rest and seriously considering using it.

Thanks!

Keith

To be brutally honest, I won’t shoot off anything else. For 17#+ centerfire rifles I would recommend putting a plate under it to add some weight but more importantly stretch the wheelbase, it can get a little tippy in stock form.

I seen in your photo the plate. Did you make this or have it manufactured?

My cousin was in tech school and needed a project so he cut it out for me. Randolph makes a larger plate that you can purchase. I haven’t used one but as thick as it is, you need to pay attention to the height of your rear bag or you may not be able to get on target. I’ve struggled with mine on different occasions and I use almost as tall of a bag as it can get made.

Jason, what top and front bag combination are you using?

The common bag top with an Edgewood 3M bag. May have a new setup in the works utilizing SEB’s adjusts L bags. I haven’t heard anything about that project for awhile. Probably know more come wintertime.

I talked to Sharon at Randolph this morning about the extra weight plate. Its $100. Dont think I need it right now, but if I build a heavy gun, it might be needed.

Jason, can you measure the height of your rear bag?

Talk about service. Called Randolph's yesterday to order. My rest shipped today. Incredible. Compare that to a 12 to 16 month wait for SEB. Will be taking my name off the SEB wait list.

Great knob twisting rest it'll last for a lifetime.
but it's totally different than a Seb.
Really can't compare them.

I just got mine ,just as mentioned above , same day shipping . I just shot off mine today and it is perfect . One thing you will need to put something on the zero stop .

I agree. They are totally different. I am not as happy with the joystick. I have a shadetree and have used a SEB. Just feel more comfortable making subtle adjustments with a knob than a stick.

Me To........Started out turning knobs then tried all the joysticks ( except Rod's Raptor ) and recently picked up a Sinclair with all the Field & Cave upgrades from a site member. Extremely happy with the operation of this rest. Shot a score target with it recently and had no problem moving around it in a timely fashion.....I will say, that if I had to go back to the sighter often it would have taken a bit longer than with a stick.
Enjoy your new rest, they are really nice.

Regards
Rick

I have one I’d sell that was never used. The extra height didn’t work out for me.
