I've been hanging on to this, not really wanting to sell, but I'm scared I might have to find something to put in it if I don't.

McMillan quit offering the unpainted carbon stocks, as people were complaining that it wasn't "perfect". They always have been one of my favorites.

I did paint the inside of the barrel channel flat black, as it looks better not seeing the light color of the stock under the barrel.

Correction.....

When I ordered this stock, it was for a Remington Varmint contour.

However, I forgot that I opened the barrel channel up to fit a X-Caliber Carbon barrel, which has a straight .990" contour after the taper.

The width at the forend measures 1.075", but a Remington Varmint still looks fine.
