Front sight tool

What would be the best front sight removal/installation tool for a Ruger Match Champion? Need to get rid of the true glow and install a Novak brass bead. Shipping is over a hundred dollars and I don't see the need to let in sit at a gunsmith for who knows how long before he can get to it.

Per chance does your Ruger have the removable front sight with the pin above the muzzle? Wonder if the sight was installed with LocTite or Rockset. Heat for Loctite, front sight soaked in water, muzzle down. If not, you might have to make a cut in the front sight, crossways, which will make removal easier. Hacksaw or Dremel with a cutoff wheel. Caution and care not to nick the barrel is obvious. The cut does not have to be all the way through the sight base to relieve gripping pressure.

NO, it is different than the regular GP100. For some unknown reason, Ruger decided to do a dovetail mount on the MAtch Champion.

I would buy a sight pusher. Right tool for the job. If the front sight is in with Rockset or has been cryo fit then you may still have to cut it but I have been able to get tight front sights off with a sight pusher in that past.

Read up on changing it.
My Sig has to be pushed out a certain direction and come in that way also.
A universal sight tool may be a good buy.
