Front rests

What front rest would you guys recommend that will do a good job but won't break the bank. F class open Savage 12FTR. Thanks Barlow

One of ShadeTree's tops paired with an old cast iron base. I have the got the F/Class base with mine but I prefer something heavier on the bottom. I usually use my base from my Caldwell BR. If you want a stick rest, I think it is the best of the lower end rest.

I would just get something within your budget , whatever buy purchase will work just fine to get you started. If you find that you enjoy shooting matches you will probably want to upgrade in the future.Their are a lot of joy stick users and their are a lot of wheel users take you pick.

I have been competing for the past 5 years with our local group of 10 or so if they all show up. I have been using a cheap Hoppe's rest that I weight down with sandbags. Have gotten some PM's that are helpful. Barlow

Bald Eagle seems to be a good option. Or the Sinclair Heavy Varmint. I am too looking at getting a rest for this rifle. Are you using a track plate on the forend?

No I am not. Barlow

I shot mine today off a Sinclair HV model(older version) and it tracked very well today for me. Using a Whidden tracker plate installed on the rail. All I had to do was make very fine windage adjustment(this model has windage top) and I was ready to fire.

I was shooting a 308 win
