Front Rest with Joy Stick

I am new to shooting bench rest and I am looking for a front rest with joy stick.
I have looked at the Farley and love what I read about the SEB. The SEB is out of my price range now.

Any thoughts?

I would go with a Shadetree Engineering coaxial top and a decent quality base. Butch Lambert makes a very nice top for your money.

+1 on Butch's top. It is the best one on the market for the money. He also makes a very nice 5 inch top and is great to work with.

Buy once, cry once. Get the SEB NEO, you will not be disappointed. I learned my lesson buying something that was cheaper but I didn't really want. I ended up selling it for less then I paid and buying what I really wanted in the first place. Just my opinion....

The SEB appears to certainly be the top of the mountain. I am trying to justify the cost of the SEB compared to the benefits I will receive.
Thanks for the follow back!

I love my Shadetree! Do some research on this site and also Benchrest.com and you will see that many others do also. I have heard no complaints.

Get on the NEO list with Ernie. It doesn't cost you anything and you can start saving the money. I just recently picked up a NEO and it is the best joystick rest I have used. And I have had Farleys and have used a shadetree. These aren't even in the same ballpark. Buy once cry once. You'll save yourself money in the long run.

7stubby thanks for this. Who is Ernie that you reference?
Do you put $ down to get on the list or how does it work?

Check out the classified posted today. It is a Bald Eagle base with the Backyard co-ax top, xtra windage top, rear bag, and fiberglass case to carry it in. Check out the ad on benchrest.com which show pictures of all the items.

Ernie Bishop, here is his accurate shooter member ID:

Do a search for him in the members search and send him a PM. You do not have to put any money down, just make the payment after he receives your rest. There is generally a 1 year wait which is expected for such a fine piece of equipment. He will need your full name, address, and phone number I believe.

You'll never regret buying a SEB and it'll be worth what you paid for it down the road, unlike some of the other rests. I learned my lesson with scopes too " buy once cry once " !

I don't think you would be disappointed with the Farley. I have one and have used the Neo. The Neo is slightly better, but not enough for me to upgrade. Farleys can be had used for 700-800 dollars.

I've never seen a Seb for sale used. What do they go for? Doesn't Seb have more than one model?
PS. I have a Shadetree on a Sinclair base. I like it, but have never shot with a Seb.
