Front Rest Setup

I have a Farely (Big Wheel I think) Front Rest setup. I shoot F-Open, with a JP 3 inch attachment to a PRS style rifle on an ARCA rail. I really stuggle with using the front rest (I can barely use the joystick--rifle moves around A LOT, every shot is rebuilding the position--I often just shoot bipod). Is there an online guide/tutorial on how to build a position? My rear protektor bag is also not quite right (my rifle does not slide easily and I often have to use wood to adjust the height). Before going down the rabbit hole I'm trying to use what I have rather than just throw money at the problem.

I know competitors are eager to help, but often I get advice like "It should go back to the same aiming point"--I'm not even close to that and have no clue what the heck I'm doing. I need some fundamental pointers or guide.

How much recoil does your rifle produce. Keep in mind, Bart is shooting a light recoiling 6BRA.
I would think there would be quite a bit of difference in the expectations from a rifle shot off of the ground than one in a totally controlled environment such as you see in Barts video.
