front rest recommendations

Hi Joe-

There's a huge price range in rests as I'm sure you can imagine. Did you have a budget in mind? No point in everyone telling you about SEB, Farley, Loh, etc. if your budget is Caldwell or Cowan (nothing wrong with either, just a cheaper price point). It will help people direct you in a useful manner. Prefer a joystick or more "conventional" style rest?

-Rick

Addendum for question below- From the couple I've seen, the Cowan is a nice rest and apparently helps support a machine shop type class. Downside is, it's been reportedly a long wait to get a new one. Used ones in the classifieds get snapped up pretty quick. Check RW Hart or Sinclair for a slightly more expensive tri-pod rest but much quicker availability. Or, Bob White at The Shooters Corner usually has a few used rests for sale too.
