Front Rest / Prairie Dog Rest PDR 944

Back a few years ago I got very frustrated with the typical tripod rest with a star nut and threaded rod.. Not friendly to fast elevation adjustment on a prairie dog town with stocks like Choate with flat bottoms. Did a bunch of research and came up with this design. Utilized a Porsche 944 all AL jack.. I built one today with some parts I had from the past and used my neighbor ( great guy!) lathe to make a handle and other parts.
I'm building the remaining 3 I have parts for and will post in Classified. If anyone wants to build one of these I'd be happy to provide any information. For those who want to be the envy on the bench in your favorite dog town, You will not be disappointed.07E8E154-CA65-4ED6-BDC8-78BACD7699E7.jpeg316A35C0-83CE-4907-A59D-DAF73ABCF579.jpeg9B618BBA-A096-4181-BD33-33BE34689591.jpeg5CCFB06A-ED6C-4632-AE43-1A0089F38B70.jpeg

@jepp2 I don't know. plate is 1/4" x 13"x13" 6061 plate. More weight is better. I also have some 1/4" self adhering urethane for bottom if you should want to use. I just use a towel so I can slide the unit "east/west" while hammering prairie dogs.. I also added a Tupperware container to store ammo. I just dump my ZipLock bag in container and go..
@Fuji: I just used Caldwell.. Didn't even know about Shade Tree when I built mine.. Any top should work just have to fasten to jack top. Height is concern, don't want to be too tall for those 50 yard dogs that pop up..IMG_6028.jpeg
