I have a Protektor 3 inch front bag with slick material, I was wondering about break in and forming,,,,
thinking about a rubber hammer and lightly tenderize but I really have no clue...some pointers would be greatly appreciated
thanks in advance for any advice

A shout out to Protector !! Great Company !!
ordered a custom size 4" front bag for my HG on 06/25 it arrived yesterday 07/01 WOW !

I asked them to pack it tight and they did, I just left my gun in the rest overnight to shape this bag to the profile of my rifle.....it does help that the gun is 42lb, for my light gun I like the front bag soft to absorb vibrations

Was also going to suggest placing the rifle in the rest and periodically doing a slight tightening of the clamp , to help shape the Bag to the rifle . It helped with mine .

Jon taught me to cut a block the same width as the forend of your rifle and take a small mallet and tap it lightly till he bag is super flat and leave the block in the bag till you are ready to shoot. I have no idea if this works or helps, but he knew way more about rests and BR shooting than I do or ever will.

Or buy the me of the 3” wide delrin level blocks. I think PMA or Benchrite made the one I have. I keep it in the stand at all times when the rifle isn’t in it.
