Well Ladies and gentleman The Freedom Benchrest season is getting ready to kick into high gear . Listed below is the events for the month of April . If my count is correct its 8 600 yard Matches and 8 1000 Yard Matches That's Coast to Coast North to South and in the middle of the Good OL USA.

Well it was a busy weekend in Freedom Benchrest Big Thank You to all the Clubs that had events this weekend conditions where rough to say it lightly across the USA.

Im going to pick a event each week if I can to give a run down on its going to get busy but i enjoy it so I'm going to do my best.
This one is going to be Vapor Trail Valley Match 1 and a little bit about the whole weekend in the Valley.
Conditions Friday at the Valley where just plan Tough for the 1st match of the year TomE forgot to calm the winds. But that didn't stop the Team Hornady from blowing in and Dominating Heavy and Light Gun. In Light Gun it was "Super Dad "Bullet Craftsman" and "Coach" Justin Morrow Taking Light Gun Score and Light Gun Overall. Justin shoot a Score agg of 95 Beating out The Man The Myth The Legend Carroll Lance with a 94 agg.
In Light Gun Group it was the Battle of 2 other bullet Craftsman With Vapor Trails Very own showing he can get it done with 3.670 agg Mr. TomE Jacobs he beat out Vapor Trails Very own Head Bullet Lever Puller also know as "Champ" ,"Dan The Man" "Which One You Want Me to Hold" Mr Dan Hullinger with a 5.639.
When the winds blew through it was Justin beating out Dan to win Light Gun Overall.
Justin was shooting a 25 Creedmoor in a panda action with a Bartlein Barrel in a McMillian Stock with a Vortex scope . He was using Hornady 134s pushed by H4350 gun was built by Jensen.
TomE stuff is still in development stages and considered TOP Secrect.
In Heavy Gun it was Team Hornady Dominating again but this time it was the #1 Hornady Man Mr. Craig Anderson this man needs no Introduction. He took Heavy Gun Score with a 92 edging out Mr. Carroll Lance with a 90. In Heavy Gun group it was The New Sheriff in Town Mr. Allen Carmichael with a 5.753 (Rember That Name Ladies and Gentleman because you will see it more in the results in Vapor Trails post) he is on Fire in Heavy Gun. Craig Anderson stood tall and held onto 2nd place with a 6.610.
When it was all said and done it was Craig Anderson winning 2 gun overall.
Craig was shooting6.5x 284 Kelby Action, Bartlein Barrel, Revolution stock with a Night Force Scope watching the Hornady 153s cut the wind gun was prepared by Jensen.
Allan was shooting a 6bra Bat action with a Kreiger Barrel in a Ronnie Milford Stock with a Night Force Scope watching Berger 105s find the Center gun was built by Bonnett. Allen also Shoot a best to date 5 Shot HG Target later on in the weekend Check out TomE post to see that Beauty.

This is super cool to me and many others because no one gives back to the sport more than Hornady and All of Team Hornady are absolutely the Best People in this game they come to represent their company and give like no other and they are hands down the best group to hang out with after the match got to give out a big Thanks to Trampus Kluender he hung around middle of the pack blocking for the Team.

Tactical it was Dan Hullinger winning score and Travis Miller Winning Group and Overall.

The schedule is a tribute to the popularity of Freedom Benchrest in just a couple years. YOU may have to be 2-3 people to cover all the matches in the future.

It's a good problem to have and a tribute to you and other Freedom Benchrest pioneers.
