What are you guys using for rules? I don't see any mention of short range on the Freedom Benchrest website.

Freedom Benchrest Long Range Shooting Competition

The goal of Freedom Benchrest is to recognize the best Long Range 600 and 1000 yard shooters from all over the United States of America.

They are using the same rules that are used for matches of the previous organization, which has chosen to remove some specific shooters and ranges from their roles.

One of the biggest differences is that any shooter, member or non-member, can shoot at a match without repercussions from that other organization.

The match director of the Visalia Benchrest Matches has been working with Rodney Brown of the Freedom Benchrest organization, to coordinate rules and guidelines that will be applied to Freedom Benchrest Short Range Matches.

A number of ranges in the Western United States have chosen to shoot with the Freedom Benchrest organization.

The bottom line is; Come to shoot and have a great time!

This is good. I recall many years ago the IBS had reciprocity with the NBRSA. I don't know why it stopped, though.

I'm patiently waiting on official Freedom SR rules as I have a build I'm wanting to finish up but want to be legal with stock shape. Tempted to do just NBRSA, but can see some areas in their rules that can be modernized and cleaned up.

My understanding is regarding equipment it will follow NBRSA/IBS. Official rules are being laid out currently.
