Freedom Arms

Jack’s Grampa

How was your tour?

What a nice collection of pistols.
Which one is the most accurate ?

How accurate are they and what size of groups can they shoot ?

Cast or copper bullets?

What is the second cylinder for the 41 Mag?

Are the lightened hammer just used on 22 rim fire.

The lightened hammer is unique to the FA22.
I have shot numerous perfect scores with the 357 in IHMSA silhouette competition. I just got the 41 last year, so haven’t shot it much. The shooter I bought it from got an extra cylinder for it to shoot cast bullets exclusively with it. Probably not necessary.
I am now shoot cast bullets in the 357. I was using Hornady .358, 200 FTX rifle bullets in it, but they got way too expensive. The cast bullet shoots almost as well, and only costs me a little work!

Didn't have time for a tour because I misjudged road conditions between Bozeman and Freedom. I'll try to get a tour this summer.

I had a tour a few years ago by the 'smith that made my .454 Casull & .475 Linebaugh. Not a big place, but super quality work.
Did a 3/4" shot at the range with my .454 while some black rifle guys were shooting 2" groups. Taken 30 turkeys with this gun out to 125 yds. Did a rhino, Cape buff, lioness with my .475L.

I was at the Gun Show today. A friend had two he was selling for a friend who has cancer. 4 3/4" 50 AE, and a 5 1/2" .475 Linebaugh. NIB, $3800; your choice...

M97 Octogon barrel 41 Magnum. Got it a couple of months ago. Once you have one Freedom Arms, you start looking for your second!
Well you started off pretty well sir, I started with a 454 6" and then a 357 9" and am dreaming of a 41 probably a 7.5" . Freedom Arms revolvers are so well made and shoot so well it's no wonder we love them.
I hear those 41s are about the most accurate revolvers made, looking forward to hearing how yours does.

Hilarious. Once you have four Freedom Arms, you start looking for your fifth!

83 - 454 7.5" laminate, spare 45 Colt cylinder
83 - 44 Magnum 7.5" micarta
83 - 357 Magnum 6" micarta
97 - 327 Federal 6" micarta

I do not really know if the 44 or 357 is the most accurate FA I have. The 454 and 327 are both extremely accurate too, but the 44 and 357 are smile worthy.

Sierra Tournament Masters and H110 in either is pretty much rifle level accurate.
