Freebore/Reamer for 6BR with 110gr SMK

Early in the planning phase, but would get a new barrel chambered for 6BR. 28-30 inchest, either 7 or 7.5 twist.

Id like to be able to shoot the 110gr SMK, and I know its very long.

Is there any special considerations I need to account for with regards to freebore?
Or will any 6BR reamer work for this application.

Any first hand experience would be appreciated.

Best bet is seat a dummy round with the pressure ring in the middle of the neck. Give that to your Smith and have him use a throated to adjust the throat accordingly. I am a Sierra guy but gave up on that bullet and went back to 107s. I shot some groups in the low ones with it but could not get it to consistently repeat. 107s have me smiling.

If you are going to shoot the 110 Sierra Matchking definitely go with the 1-7 twist unless you are at a high elevation.
I built a gun to shoot the 110 Sierra and 115 DTAC. It is chambered in 6mm SLR and my reamer has a short throat. I use a PT&G unithroater so that I can get the bullet exactly where I want it. I set the freebore so the bullet sits just above the neck shoulder junction. Unfortunately I don't know exactly what the final freebore measures but it is definitely over 0.10. I find the unithroater easy to use but you have to be really careful as it cuts fast, you have to go slow a few thousandths at a time.
The other thing I found with the 110 Sierra is that I had to get it real close to jam to get it to shoot. The bullet has a nice high BC but the 107 matchking is much easier to tune and to keep in tune. With a 6mm BR you can't go wrong with the 107 Sierra or the 108 Berger. What you don't want to do is to go with too long a freebore for the 110, to the point where if you do want to go to the 107 it will sit too far out in the neck.
