Frankford Arsenal Intellidroper - A new addition to the bench

Bought one of these over the weekend on Amazon for $150.00. Got it yesterday and tried it out on some 6.5 Creedmoor loads with 41.5grs of N203B . I checked 20 rounds against my mechanical scales and they were dead on . Well it works good but the instructions are missing some information which you can easily figure out. If this will last a few years I will consider it a success. I have had a set of their digital scales for about a year and they work well too.

Tonight 7mm Rem Mag loads with H1000 !!!

I love mine for my plinking rounds. I use it for 300 BLK and 5.56. It's fast, which I really like but mine under throws just a smidgen. It will throw about .05 under, but it does it consistently so I'm fine with it. If I want 21.5 grains, I'll set it to throw 21.6.

I finally broke down and bought a charge master link especially for loading 10mm with blue dot.... I have to say they have come a long ways with the smart droppers.... Blue dog won't go through my rcbs , Dillon or lee powder droppers with having some big mistakes sometimes...At least the automated one keeps them real close... I had to buy an 8lb jug of blue dot when I got this one so I will be loading 10mm with it for awhile...

Had one for a few years, liked it overall, slight drift while in use for a long period. The longer time in use the touch screen would stop working. The Blue tooth would disconnect and reconnect, that was a nice feature when it functioned. The stepped drive was great as the drops were very rarely over thrown.
It took a crap one day and the drive motor seized up , replaced with a different brand after that.
Still miss the stepped motor dropping that slowed the powder flow. That was a great design.

Well I tried it last night with some H1000 and it worked well. Initially it threw two charges that had .1 grain over . After that no more issues .

I threw 300 49.0 grain charges of H1000. 8 over throws, by no more than a 1/10th. It's that an extra kernel can drop out of the tube. Smaller powder and ball is super accurate drops from the Intellidropper. Mine only drifts 0.1 one way or the other if I play the radio on my bench. I'm guessing it's the slight vibration that causes it. When the radio is off there is no drift. A lot of times I'll drop 500+ charges in a reloading session.

Make sure you do the powder calibration before throwing for charges. That is one of the best design bits of that measure.
