Foxpro standard e-calls vs custom sounds?

I've always used hand calls for coyotes but would like to try a Foxpro Wildfire (35 sounds) or a Fury with (100?) Is it worth and extra $50 - $120 to have Allpredatorcalls put the best choices for my area on them? It might be with only 35 but 100 ought to cover most choices. Because of the economy, I'll probably go with the WF. Thanks.

They should be running a special where they will custom program the call for free. The only problem with that is trying to go through all the sounds and decide what you want.

I owned 2 FP furys and never came close to using more than 20 sounds at the most, 99.9% it was just the 10 I programed into the remote for my coyote hunts.
Its nice to have them if you ever have a need for a variations of sounds though.

AP calls will do it anytime for free but only if you pay the retail from them, as far as I know. The Wildfire can be had for $250 vs AP calls $300. The only thing that bothers me about the WF is volume although I don't usually call in wind above 10-15mph.

One thing to be careful of is someone like Cabelas puts little bit of everything on theirs vs the standard FP sounds that come with it.

Bought the 1st one 2 yrs back...did not like the way it performed in sub zero winter here, remote always failed to perform 100% when it got around 20* and failed completly at -10*. They performed great when you can keep them warm though.
Got the 2nd one last summer to give it another try out, but still was not that happy so sold it.
I bought them through my pawnshop/gunshop dealer for under $500 new. He gets them from his gun supplier at good prices.
I then tried the FLEXTONE ER1 and just sent back the 2nd one to Midwayusa. Both have speaker crackling, remote is WAY to bright to use in the dark & I needed to put red tape over the screen.
I did shoot 2 coyotes over the Flextone vs 0 on the Furys though when I hit a turkey gobble by accident while scrolling, they came in at double trot...in an area with no turkeys of all things....hahhaha
I just went back to mouth calling as I actually have more success since I can add more "life" to my calling that way.
