I am trying to identify a side mount scope base. I dont know anything about it and i dont have the rings. I took it off a 98 mauser that was sporterized in early 50s(my guess) Any help would be appeciated. Thanks

****** Edit *** in case anyone cares I found identity of scope mount base thanks to ggmac.

Echo Scope mounts
Herkner Company
Littleton colorado or mabie Boise Idaho

the bases were made in different configurations for a variety of guns with the same attachment points for the rings. I dont think ill be using these but am glad to find out what they are. Thanks ggmac

Forgot the other one , they were fairly common before the universal weaver or Redfield / leupold / Burris design . Do you have the ring set up ?
We , the US had a sniper rifle design using a mount like this . It was either a m1- garand or ? Dang memory ! I'll think of it probably around midnight !
