forster neck bushings

i use redding neck bushings and believe the necks size about.0005 smaller than the reading on the end of the bushing. do forster bushings do the same or are they spot on? i know they are not interchangeable. thanks.

It's been my experience that the Forster bushings are a lot closer to what they are marked than the Reddings are.

Yes Forster bushings will give you the exact od sizing as per written on the bushing. But Redding bushings only tend to give you the correct sizing when used in conjunction with the expander ball. Used without the expander ball you can expect a figure 1 thou lower in comparison to what is written on the bushing.

Incidently Redding dies will accept Forster bushings but not the other way round.

Hope this helps

Adrian.
