PLEASE READ Forster Co-Ax Press IS Definitely Made in the USA

This post is to inform all members that the Forster Co-Ax press is definitely still MADE IN THE USA.

The Co-Ax is truly an all-American product.

Any suggestion to the contrary was 100% incorrect.

I have personally been assured about the made-in-USA status of the Co-Ax by Robert Ruch, Forster CEO.

In addition, Vince A., a Forster staffer, posted this statement about the Forster Co-Ax:

The Co-Ax press is, has always been, and always will be manufactured in the USA. The castings come from a foundry in Galena, IL. We manufacture the majority of press parts in our shop in Lanark, IL. We have farmed a few press parts out to shops in Freeport, IL and Rockford, IL to help keep up with, and increase, production.

The paint was changed 5-6 years ago. The old paint was a case red paint with a glossy finish. The new paint is a red wrinkle powder coat paint. The reason for the change was that the wrinkle paint hid some casting imperfections better than the case red paint. Some people have issues with the new paint, most (reasonable) people seem to not care at all.

For those wondering -- Forster had a change of ownership just over a year ago. The new owners are local to the NW IL area[.] New ownership has made a concerted effort on increasing press production, improving press production processes, all the while not sacrificing the Forster quality our customers have come to expect. By all means, I would consider this mission accomplished with room to grow.

Feel free to give me a call to chat any time. Our phones are on Monday - Thursday 8:00AM - 4:00PM CST. If you're local we can set up a tour and you can come face to face with our 29 employees that take pride in manufacturing top of the line reloading equipment here in the USA. Have a good day.

Good news- I like to buy US stuff. Plus I need to call them about some other stuff. I looked all over my coax and didnt see a “made in usa”. good to know it is for sure. if i was the new manufacturer i would put it on all the stuff i sell. Its not easy competing against the offshored stuff. Thanks to the owners of forster

Mentioned above but I'll add my 2 cents. Easy for me to say, and I get that, but were I Forster, I would plaster MADE IN USA and a USA FLAG all over that thing.

They don't festoon their products like that. Their product is 100% MADE IN USA. That's a huge selling point.

If anyone wonders why the original thread was pulled...

Most people don't read every single thread/post and might not see "the real truth", thanks Boss for doing what you do!

So was the false thread a case of rumor and FUD or is there it is an indication it was a deliberate fraud ? Just curious.

I'd cast it right in the darn thing.

If it`s what I think it is in that post, It`s still up in Alberta Outdoorsman in the guns & ammo section. I couldn`t quite fathom what it actually was, he said wasn`t machined.

I have tried virtually every other seating die, and the Forster Ultra Micrometer is my brand of choice. Superior fit, finish and functionality.

I've been using a Forster Co-Ax press for longer than I can remember, and would never consider using anything else. There is a program on American Hero's Channel about the U.S. Army marksmanship unit, and it shows their hand loading personnel using Forster Co-Ax presses.

Not only are Forster's products superior, but so is their outstanding customer service.

Forster restores my faith in American manufacturing.

Thank you Forster and Forum Boss.
