Forster Bump Die

Our original build was for 6X47L,no turn neck. Sent three fired cases to Forster and they lapped out a FL die. After shooting the round for a while, we determined, better accuracy could be gotten if we cleaned up the necks by turning slightly. The FL die still sizes the cases but NK tension is to light if we want to use a square on VLD bullets. Thought the New Bushing Shoulder Bump die would be the answer. Unfortunately after setting the shoulder back .002 we are finding that our reamer body must be tighter than the shoulder portion of the Forster die. We took the FL die and sized a case so as not to set the shoulder back at all. Cases slid into chamber smoothly with no drag on the bolt handle with firing pin removed. Then used the Bump die to set thte shoulder back .001 and cases chambered tight. Just wanted to bring this to everyones attention, you may want to compare your chamber reamer dimensions with Forsters Bump Die dimensions before ordering.

Its my understanding that if you have a problem with the size of a Forester die, you can send three fire formed cases and the die back to forester, and they will modify your die to fit your FFed cases. And for only $10.
I would give them a call, your bump die should work great, that's what I use on 6BR, and others I know also. So let Forester make it fit.
Mike.
