Forster 3-in-1 mouth cutter ....

I have the Forster Original Case Trimmer and so far I am happy with the consistency it provides.

I am thinking about getting the 3-in-1 mouth cutter to accomplish a couple more steps in a single action (inside and outside chamfer).

For those that have this, how is it working for you? Good, Bad, indifferent?

I am not looking to crank out 1,000's of cases in a single night. I know the Giruard is a much better solution, but comes with a price that is out of my range at this time.

I've heard they work I've never used one do to having allready been fully stocked in RCBS 3-way cutters. A one up over Foster is the RCBS you can change the pilot to a different caliber and start trimming you don't need a complete one for each.

I've got one and love it. I don't know about 1000 cases in one night, but I've run through a batch of 100 cases pretty quickly. It does a great job trimming the cases.

I have the Forester and RCBS trimmers, both work good. If funds were available, I think I would add a Giruad to the lineup!

I have two of them and a battery power drill adapter on the trimmer shaft. They work pretty slick and you can trim a large bunch of cases quickly. I must have dropped one of mine. Went to use it awhile back and the trim/inside chamfer blade was broken. $26.00 and a bit of a pain to replace, so don't let one roll off the bench. Accuracy of trim length is good, however any burr on the cartridge case head will affect how the cartridge seats, and therefor the trim length. You get a feel for seating the cartridge, but need to be heads up or an excessive trim will result infrequently. These are more or less the poor man's Giraud. I have never used the Giraud, only watched the video. If I were buying a case trimmer for the first time and wanted speed with accuracy, I would probably purchase the Giraud. If I was not concerned with speed and trimming large volume of cases, I would probably opt for a Wilson. I have had my Forster forever and it works pretty well.
