My Grandson is having a good year. A lot of you shot with him at Tomball, Denton, and in Arkansas. He is a scholarship football player for West Virginia University. He is having a great freshmen year. He set a record for the longest freshmen field goal by a WVU freshmen at 50yards, is ahead of the pace for the alltime scoring record for a freshmen at WVU, kicked the winning FG in OT to beat TCU Saturday, and is Big 12 Conference special team player of the week.
He is my fishing, shooting, and hunting buddy and I sure miss not having him around. He was most comfortable with us old men shooters at the matches.

Saw him kick that FG against TCU on a newsclip on the local news sports coverage here in PA. Awesome. As a three time grandfather myself, I understand how proud you are of him. With luck, when he graduates you'll get your fishing, hunting and shooting partner back. . Thanks for the update - I wasn't sure if that was him in the clip or not.

WVU has an excellent rifle coach in Jon Hammond. Hopefully the will win their 17 National title this year.

I know Jon Hammond well. Really good guy and a great coach. We both shot in London last year at the Olympics.

I was on two of those NCAA Championship teams back in the early 90's. I've got nothing but great memories of my time at WVU. I went back to WVU in September for a rifle team reunion. It was a great time and we were able to take in a football game while we were there. Now that I know the kicker is your grandson I'll follow his career closer.
