Florida State 1000 yard Gong Championship Oct. 5,6

Hi Guy's
Just letting everyone know that we are now accepting entry's for our match Oct. 5,6. It will be held at the Manatee Gun and Archery Club in Myakka City Florida. This 1000 yard match is open to everyone and any rifle .338 and smaller. It is a two day event with a final day shoot off for the top four spots. Last year we had over five thousand dollars in prizes and cash payouts. Hope to have even more this year. To get more info and entry form please visit our web site at http://www.florida1000yardgongchampionship.com . This is probably one of the hardest 1000 yard competitions to win in the country. Ya'll come on down and let's find out who is the best 1000 yard shooter in the South. Eric

Gerard Devaudreuil has graciously donated $200.00 in memory of his wife Rena, to be given to some lucky shooter.

Good Shooting

How many IBS points could one take home at this match?

We only pay in money prizes and if you shoot good enough you can win trophy's just like IBS.
Last year we had about $4.500 of prizes and gifts. This year it should be better
Good Shooting Larry

Captain Mal, You may change rifles during the match. If it is during a string you will not receive any additional sighters. I know this happened to you last year so bring another rifle just in case. Eric

LHSmith, this is not a IBS match so you will not receive any IBS points. This match is open to all shooters and all rifles .338 and smaller. Let's see who really is the best 1000 yard shooter over a two day event. Eric

Eric and his crew put on a really fantastic shoot last year and I can only imagine this year's shoot will be just as good or better. Better bring your A Game to this shoot.

Steve that 239 15v was outstanding. Great job guys Larry

Tom Anderson beat us all today. Felt like cannon fodder with my shooting.

You, Larry, took third. Nice shooting.

Just heard a Nightforce scope and Leupold spotting scope are also in the prize package. It already was the most rewarding shoot. Now what is it?

Ebostrom - sounds like a great comp. I can see from the entry form roughly how the comp is run - 8 gongs etc but how is it actually shot? Do 8 shooters shoot together at their own gongs? I'd like to run a gong shoot at my home range in the UK - any chance of sending me an e-mail so I can chat to you outside the forum please. Vinceb@targetshooteronline.com
