I think I'm going to come and just feel my way around and watch the proceeds, I'm in KY now but will be back in FL mid-January for work so if you need an old "go-boy" I'd be glad to help. I may ask a lot of questions though!

If I can get this 6mm BR to "shoot" I may join the event, will be coming from La. - I'm offshore at work but should have time to work on getting a load worked up before the event. - I've read a bunch of good things about the Facility there & I'm sure you folks run a great match.

It should be FUN to shoot. If you have to win for it to be fun you will miss lots of good times.

No, I don't "have" to win - looking to learn & gain experience. - The IBS 1000 yd. Nationals @ Deep Creek showed me that I have some work to do.

600 yard game is much more accommodating. Everyone thought that "Deep Creek" was shooting in a tunnel quickly learned that is not the case. Yes, hope you can get a workable load for that beautiful 6br. It may be one of the best rounds for 600. Easy to tune, lots of good information here on AS. Yes, there are the Dashers, BRXs, and BRAs, but they all get their start as a 6BR. Hope you can make it. I will hold you a spot until you tell me otherwise.

Thank You Steve !! - I work offshore & I make it back onshore on the 16th of Jan. - That gives me a week to get ready before hand & I have components & all the stuff to get going on a load. - I spoke with my Misses about it and she's very enthused to travel to Florida as she has never been. - I'll get my Registration form filled out and get it sent to you as soon as I get in, along with the required entry fees.
- Its great to feel welcomed by the folks and I look forward to coming down to participate & learn.

There are a couple of hotels at Exit 217 also. 35 minutes from the range.

When they shot bench rest here they call it the winds of manatee for a reason

I’m working to find trailer or rv rental that will be available at the range
I should have the list Next year

Looks like camping for event at the gun club will be available alone wit the school house for reloading

Steve, - Again Thank You !! - I have a hotel booked (Days Inn - Sarasota, FL - 40 minutes from the range). - I'll show up Friday A.M. to lend a hand & to site-in & meet with the folks. - And I bring radios & don't mind going to the pits at all to help spot & do target detail.
- I normally pay for a 1 year regular full membership to the range when I attend a match of any type. -
- Again I appreciate the encouragement & guidance from you and the other forum members who've posted up.

Manatee Gun Club has RV sites with water and electric for $20 a day. Come early, practice Thursday and Friday. Stay right at the range for the shoot.

Lake Manatee State park is just 10 miles or so West on Rt. 64. They have about 30 RV campsites with full hook-ups and a dump station. You can just stop, visit and dump there also without staying.

Hi Ron,
No pits, we sight in on rectangular steel plates hung next to each target. Dirt berm is about 627 yards, for a crude sight in. 600 is about 3/4 moa lower for your 6br.. All you need to do is have one guy go down and paint all the steel. We will have practice paper targets available, on Thursday and Friday. Many thanks for the offer to buy a membership, but we recently raised them to $200. Pretty steep for a $40 savings. Glad you found a room. A reminder to all, book rooms early. This is our peak season.
