Looking for a floating reamer holder. Was hoping to find Rockjag4 as I’ve read a lot about his reamer holders on here.
Dang it Dave Tooley u got all the nice toys I'm gonna have to get me one of those high dollar chip pans.LOLI use a simple pusher. It can be as simple as a flat washer over the reamer shank and a drill chuck cracked open enough to give a little clearance on the shank. This is how I do it now on my Haas. Your concern should be setting the barrel up correctly not how to hold the reamer. View attachment 1195010
Oh you picked up on that. That's my first coolant filter. Lower side has holes up 1/2" from the bottom. Gravity is wonderful thing. When I stop for the day the upper side has holes in the corner and I just spin it around to drain completely over night. Next morning dump the pan and go back to work. Oh my next filter is all the chips at the lower end of the bed. I never clean that part. Gravity again at work. More of the fines fall out there. Then it's another high tech pan with a magnet. Then in to the tank.Dang it Dave Tooley u got all the nice toys I'm gonna have to get me one of those high dollar chip pans.LOL
