Flavio Fare Whisper or Bix n Andy Comp Trigger

A good friend and serious competitor said heck .. if you are serious competitor investing all the time and money.. you are going to clean any trigger you buy several times per year…. Just like your bolt…. Scope lenses… barrel etc….
You open up a FF and there is no warranty as per my understanding. Correct me if I'm wrong. EDIT: Love my FF, no problems in 2 years of running.

oh man, I have some serious choosing to do. I've shot a FF before and absolutely loved it, I've never shot a Sidhe trigger though. As I said, i'm looking for a decent warranty with honest people backing it and a reliable trigger, would you say FF is the one? I'm ready to pull the trigger (pun intended)!

I love mine, the only problem is IF you have a problem you would need to return to manufacturer, I'd love to try the Sidhe (and know how to pronounce it correctly)! If I liked it better I'd have to replace 4-6 triggers LOL

I have both an FF Whisper 2.1 and the Sidhe I actually have two Sidhe they both work great. I favor the Sidhe because of the great support Paul provides and the ability to change the trigger blade.
after hearing all the stories of the B&A I sold the brand new one I had last thing I wanted was an issue with a trigger.

I'm currently on a TT Diamond and am thinking about upgrading.

I've browsed the site using the search function but no real definitive 'head to head' between the two.

I'm leaning towards the Bix n Andy, because I *think* there may be more customer support for this trigger vs Flavio Fare.

I'm big on company provided warranties, but would love to hear your person experiences on either trigger.

I've shoot both but not enough to conclude a discernible difference.

Purposes: F-Open.
Current Action: Kelbly Prometheus LA Magnum
What is it that makes you want to change from tt?
I have a cpl different models of tt, one being a diamond. I like the way they feel.
I’m thinking of using a diamond in my bench gun (if I ever get back to shooting it again) in case I pierce a primer with jewel. It’s 1.5 oz. I think I’d be ok with the heavier diamond in there.

With the TT at 4 oz, I’m still consciously pulling the trigger, and that interaction can live long enough for me to slightly influence POA. With the BnA and FF, the break feels essentially instantaneous — I’m not managing the trigger through the shot, it just goes. That reduces the chance of me disturbing the rifle at ignition

It’s not a knock on TT — they’re excellent triggers but the lighter, cleaner break gives me more confidence in holding center through the shot

I just did the Wheeler mod to my Bix and OMG it's even better than it was. It's definitely better than my Flavio. Best trigger I've ever felt.

I've personally witnessed three Flavio 2.1 and two Bix'n Andy Comps. go down during a match.

The Flavio's and one of the Bix had enough crap in them to choke a horse. The other Bix failure was self induced by the user (ME). LOL!!

With both Flavio and Bix set at .7 ounces........Flavio break is mushy compared to the crisp break of the Bix.

I've sold all my Flavio and Jewell....use nothing but Bix'n Andy Comps. and have over 40,000 rounds each on several of them.

For comparison..........

I dont think Elf make them anymore but anybody use the Elftman 700 trigger ?
Im skeptical of a trigger that says it can Adjust from 2 oz to 4 lbs but ???
It looks nice

Looking at their web site, it looks like the only make AR triggers and a lonely Savage 110 SE precision rifle trigger.
Currently yes, used to make one for the Rem 700 though
I see them from time to time just wondering from people with experience with them
if anyone has used one and what it was like
maybe nobody bought the Elftman back then because Jewell may have still been in business so they stopped making it for lack of sales

Here is my warranty.

Honestly, getting a trigger thru customs, back to Italy for repair then back to you in the US is not a very efficient or even probable process. If you have an issue with any Sidhe or even the pre-EVO triggers please reach out to me. I have a small cache of parts and already done a few repairs on these. Happy to help if I can.

I've been shooting a Sidhe (pronounced "SHE") on my new gun this past year and love it. I'm not a proponent for a highly defined "wall" in the pull, but it has a great feel, doesn't creep in weight and even though I don't have it adjusted to dead nuts zero creep, still feels amazing and passes the hammer on butt test at just about 1oz.

It is very well sealed from the elements, uses 5 Japanese ball bearings for contact points and the feel is more like driving over a speed bump than driving off a curb.

I looked into shooters in Italy and around Europe who have been using it for years and they report zero issues. I really should sit down and fine tune it to zero creep. Honestly, the creep it has is equal to a slightly heavy jewell. Not much at all.

Overall the feel is similar to a FF. Sidhe was the manufacturer for Flavio originally, but they parted ways and Sidhe started marketing his own design. They also make actions and other parts. They are more than just a trigger company.
