Flavio Fare Whisper or Bix n Andy Comp Trigger

I'm currently on a TT Diamond and am thinking about upgrading.

I've browsed the site using the search function but no real definitive 'head to head' between the two.

I'm leaning towards the Bix n Andy, because I *think* there may be more customer support for this trigger vs Flavio Fare.

I'm big on company provided warranties, but would love to hear your person experiences on either trigger.

I've shoot both but not enough to conclude a discernible difference.

Purposes: F-Open.
Current Action: Kelbly Prometheus LA Magnum

I have both and both are outstanding. It took me a long time to like the feel of the Flavio. It doesn't really have a wall like Jewell. The Bix has a break with a slight amount of wall. I don't have as much time on the Bix but have been shooting the Flavio for 3+ years with no problems.

May want to also look at Sidhe triggers. I switched from a B&A to a Sidhe BR model and I really like it. It is pretty well sealed not allowing dirt in, adjustable trigger position and a couple style trigger shoes available. Pricing is on par with others.

This is great feedback. Looks like the FF has a lot of praise.

I'm a simple man, so looking for something with less maintenance (if any) and robust/durable/reliable. And per the messages above, looks like the FF hits those notes.

I didn't include Sidhe but as I understand, FF has a relation to Sidhe somehow? I don't have any experience with Sidhe but have heard great things.

I've only put 1000 rounds through my BnA. I like to run a 2 stage trigger, so that's why I chose it. I also don't run it super light. 5oz. Haven't had a problem yet. But I don't shoot in dusty or sandy conditions.
I think it's a really lovely trigger to use and would happily chose it again.

A good friend and serious competitor said heck .. if you are serious competitor investing all the time and money.. you are going to clean any trigger you buy several times per year…. Just like your bolt…. Scope lenses… barrel etc….

You better clean a Bix &Andy at least every other Match, especially if you clean a lot such as in a Short Range Group Match.
I clean mine before every Match regardless. It only takes one time for it to quit in a Match for you to learn why.

What's your method of cleaning it?

There are ways to keep from washing dirt into the trigger .. there are ways to keep from washing solvent into the trigger. Solvent attracts trash like dust. Not just by using a bore guide. Nothing should msake its way into the trigger and nothing should make its way (via screws) between your action and the bedding.. I have observed the generous use of liquids knowing it is creeping into the trigger housing etc…

For most, that is simply not true.
If you shoot with constant blowing sand that’s one thing most do not.
I’ve run several for years without issue, cleaning about once a year.
Single biggest issue seen over the years, absolutely intolerant of sloppy cleaning
Have a whisper as well….without issue.
If you have issues Chris Harris does a decent job with support.

There's 2 types of Bix owners: those that have had one go down mid match and have to bump the bolt to get the trigger to fall and those that will.

Pays to remember, any equipment with screws, guys will figure out how to mis adjust them as well.
Just bookmark this post.

Edit: there’s a reason I had 2 trigger hangers with the action I just sold. Never again. Since changing, zero malfunctions.

I’ve seen two BnA fail on the line for what I consider minimal if any cleanliness issue but after cleaning and install they functioned fine. It takes very little contamination to be an issue. Because of this I have replaced mine with Sidhe’s. Ran the BR EVO in my Turbo Rimfire bench gun last year with no issues, nice trigger and very crisp. Like the enclosed assembly. I just ordered the Sidhe BR Absolute for my CF bench gun.

FF and Sidhe have similar internals but the Sidhe gives the added benefit of a closed housing at the top to better resist contamination.

that top looks similar to this one
anyone know what brand this is?
It's a trigger I repaired for a guy on here but no markings on it
Its a sweet trigger, all steel, enclosed, but doesnt adjust much below 8 oz
(feels lighter, Silky Smooth)

New to me. Not a Sidhe.
