I'm not a stock expert either . Isn't it funny that all of sudden people are much more open minded to more common alternatives to products?

I really don't think you can beat a laminated wood stock for overall performance. But I'm not an expert.

I got a finished one last month and I’m really happy with it. The finish is good for the price - it won’t compare to a custom by any stretch but from five feet it doesn’t show any imperfections. If I was highly motivated I could sand it smooth and really gloss it good but I’m more focused on tune and finding the right ammo.

For someone who knows how to sand and oil or paint this would be an even better setup for less money.
