Flashlights Recommended?

It just dawned on me that my 4 or 5 cell Mag Light is mia. To not have missed it for this long, prob gave it away.
OK, I need one for the truck and one for a wedding gift. What do you recommend? I'm thinking between 50 and 75$.

Ive got one and really like it. On brightest setting it will easily illuminate well things away at 150+yds. on lowest its comparable to a big candle which is great for walking without royaly screwing your night vision.

Fenix lights are awesome! Ive also got some M&P branded lights that are very reasonably priced and extremely bright.

I’ve always had a old Maglite in the truck, but I’ve had issues with newer led Mags cutting in and out. I’ve had good luck with Duracell flashlights from Costco. They have a 1500 lumen for under $20. They lumen ratings seem inflated, but still bright. I keep a Surefire or Streamlight in the night stand.

I had the same problem with my led mags, I wound up using a pair of pliers to tighten the bottom cap. never had a problem since. of course you shouldn't have to but...................

I've still got one, but the five cell mag-light is pretty much a thing of the past in my flashlight use. The store where I work sells the little plastic pocket led's for a buck apiece, and every now and then I spend a fiver on them. Have em scattered all over the place. When they go dim, I chuck them and get more.

I've also got a few pretty good and powerful higher end led's that you could spot light a deer at a hundred yards with. They are compact durable, and adjustable, and I keep one in each rig, and one by my nightstand for -- the boogy man. jd
