How about a small Surefire and a baseball bat?4 or 5 cell Mag Light
This^Fenix flashlight for hunting, fishing, and backpacking....extremely small, bright and light..can't go wrong.
I had the same problem with my led mags, I wound up using a pair of pliers to tighten the bottom cap. never had a problem since. of course you shouldn't have to but...................I’ve always had a old Maglite in the truck, but I’ve had issues with newer led Mags cutting in and out. I’ve had good luck with Duracell flashlights from Costco. They have a 1500 lumen for under $20. They lumen ratings seem inflated, but still bright. I keep a Surefire or Streamlight in the night stand.
