FL vs Neck Higher tolerences with newer dies?

Yes the FL vs NK sizing debate ...

Could it be with advances in machining the need for neck sizing may not be as relevant today as it once was? Tighter tolerances with dies and chamber specs, how much are we gaining with just a neck size besides less case prep?

Also called several companies and they would not give me the specs for their dies, i got a generic they are within SAMI spec, that doesn't do me any good are they on the max or min of spec. Now that is relevant info.

They can't give you a number cuz SAAMI is not one number, but a range of numbers. Most die makers leas toward the minimum headspace, and small(er) body.

Betwen the variation between reamers, and the difference before and after reamers are sharpened... the dies vary within limits, from day to day, and from production run to run.

With small based dies, the body will come down to new case diameter.
