First Tomball Varmint For Score Match Last Sunday, Results.

We held our first 100 yard VFS Match of the season yesterday at Tomball, it was a beautiful day except for the wind.

When the Dust cleared, George Ballentreaux came out on top when he won the tie breaker against Mickey Krenek with a 250 21x. Mickey’s son Allen was third with a 250 20x.

Thanks to the Tomball Gun Club for hosting the Match, and to Richard and Dwayne Pullum serving as match directors.

I shot my 30BR, as this was 100 yard VFS.
I got beat. I simply just missed the condition on several shots that cost me big time. It’s a tough game. You can miss the X by .001 of an inch, and it is still a miss.

I had several like that.

My bench was in the middle of the winners. Can' t blame my low score to range position.

Correct. We have a Factory Class, a Modified Class, and a Benchrest Class.

Here are the rules for the classes. As you can see, the Benchrest Class is open to any legal firearm.
