First time voter

I just got back from voting with my next to youngest grandaughter. It was her first time. I now have five of my grandchildren that vote. I’m very proud that they take it seriously.

I was told earlier that a crazy number of Amish registered to vote this year. We need all the help we can get.

I live in an area with a large Amish residency. When I left for work this morning I bet I passed 30-40 buggies headed to polling places…I only have a 15mile drive to work, but it passes 3 polling stations.
So later today when I voted I asked the guy how the Amish turnout has been today. His answer was “more Amish showing up than Ive ever seen!”. And he said in talking to other localities they were seeing the same.

My oldest daughter(21) text me 2 weeks ago asking me about the election, I asked if she had ever registered to vote. No.
That's when i realized that I had failed as a parent. One of my failures anyway...
I have two more kids coming up to fail less with.

For the very first time in nearly four years ; I woke up , realized what had happened yesterday , and began to smile . Got up , dressed , first cup of coffee , two smokes . Yeah , I have that "evil" habit , and began loading for the Az. Mid-Range Championship this weekend .
